Free play helps them be creative and help their minds and bodies to grow
- Toddlers are naturally active – they like to move – so give them lots of chances to walk, run, and climb.
- Dancing, hopping and games like Ring Around the Rosie make moving fun.
- Play can build strength in hands and fingers, too. Stack blocks, color, paint and draw with chalk – all more fun when done with you!
Movement comes naturally to toddlers – so let them move. They do need you to give them the chance to have safe spaces for them both indoors and outdoors. Limiting time with tablets and smart phones is really important as toddlers need free play to be creative, and to help their bodies and minds to grow.
