The brain, and whole body, get stronger when playing!
- Play is a way to bring it all together for the preschooler. The brain and whole body benefit – both become stronger!
- Play is natural. You need to make sure time (at least 1-2 hours) is set aside everyday – especially for active play.
- Preschoolers like to run, jump, ride bikes, and swim. It’s more fun with friends and family!
- Games with other kids their age teach them teamwork and sharing.
Keeping kids moving decreases TV and time on other screens. You should be careful about the time spent not moving, as this can lead to weight gain. Outdoor play leads to more active play than indoor play.
