Sitting around the table together can help you connect and build your relationship.

• Family meals are the best way to connect at the end of the day.
• Turn off all screens during meals to help your family connect.
• Shopping for food and meal planning are also good times to connect.

Some children do not want to try new foods, but include them in shopping or meal planning to make it fun. You can try games such as picking foods with certain colors and shapes. Your job is to prepare and offer healthy food to your child. Your child’s job is to eat the amount that is right for them. Sitting around the table together can help you connect and build your relationship. Turn off all screens during meals to help your family connect – that includes phones, tablets, computers and TV’s. Remember, your child will look to you to copy – so if you are eating healthy foods, they probably will too!
